  • Another winner from Sarina Bowen

    This latest book from one of my favorite authors does not disappoint. Bowen does a great job tracing the journey of the two protagonists from an isolated religious cult to freedom in Massachusetts. Caleb is anxious to shake off the remnants of the cult's influence but Josh has a harder time unlearning all the things he was taught, especially those that made him feel unloved, unworthy and unable to be himself. The reader will enjoy watching these two find their way in this new world as well as finding their own worth, something that is much harder for Josh. Several scenes are heartbreaking and the precipitating event is crushing. I felt like I was there experiencing the torment, that's how great a job the author does in writing it. Highly recommend this book...as well as all the others of Bowen's various series.

    Sarina does it again. This book contained two wonderfully well written characters that you will enjoy going with on their journey with a sweet supporting cast of characters. I could not put it down. It was sweet felt emotional journey.

    Joshua & Caleb grew up together in a bit of a cult commune. Feelings are not allowed. Especially for a best friend who has never looked at you. Caleb has many surprises in store for Joshua, if only they can get away safely. There is danger everywhere. Can the get to help in time? Heartwarming and gentle, while being full of surprises! I was rooting for the leads to get together from the get go. It is hard not to when this author makes them so lovable. I wonder what the next book in this Hello Goodbye series will hold? ***This copy was given in exchange for an honest review.
