Description

Sometimes the difference between a love story and a horror story is where the ending comes...

While Jude fought for power in the Court of Elfhame against the cruel Prince Cardan, her sister Taryn began to fall in love with the trickster, Locke.

Half-apology and half-explanation, it turns out that Taryn has some secrets of her own to reveal.

The Lost Sisters is a companion e-novella to the New York Times bestselling novel The Cruel Prince, by master writer Holly Black.

Review

  • Quick read

    By Yvette Br.
Very quick read. I didn’t really learn anything new and I still think Taryn is selfish and a bad sister. She’s obsessed with the idea of love and finding her place. I’m honestly not sure what she sees in Locke or why she wants him. Overall this was very well written and kept my interest.
  • Too Short!!

This book was good, but had no twists and she explained everything already in the other book! Also it ended so quickly and had no detail of he and Lock’s actual relationship.
  • Not sure it was worth the cost

The Lost Sisters provides Terayn’s side of events. The story was interesting and somewhat entertaining but it really didn’t progress the series arch. The story does however show Terayn’s selfishness and greed. It will be interesting to see if & how the marriage between her and Locke goes.
  • Made me dislike Taryn even more

This novella told from Taryn’s perspective gave quite a bit of insight into parts of the story that was missing from the first book. I felt some things made a lot more sense and became less cryptic especially where Locke was concerned. Also the short stories at the beginning were amusing. The only thing is that I like Taryn even less now. Queen Jude foevea❤️
