Desperate Measures

It is not what I was expecting but dame I could not stop reading. It’s so good and I’m not going to lie I loved the ending.

I loved the idea behind the book but was sadly disappointed with how it was written out. One of the biggest issues was that there were major jumps when it came to character development. It felt like none of the characters stayed consistent with their development throughout the story and would drastically change without an explanation. These constant changes caused these characters to make decisions that didn’t flow with the story and made it hard to read through. The second major issue was that it lacked in the aspect of what I would consider a decent smutty book. There are plenty of sex scenes in this book but as another reviewer stated — these scenes lacked deeper details and you’d probably find more in depth smutty stories on Tumblr, AO3, or on here for a lower price. I wouldn’t recommend this book to you if you’re looking for an amazing smutty book that has a plot you’d be able to follow.

I’m all for reading smut books but this book was nothing but smut. I’m not big into the whole daddy thing so sadly I skipped most of the sex parts.

It has a lot of sex which may be what you’re looking for, but that’s really all it has. It bears little passing resemblance to the original story and just steals the names. The plot is predictable at best, and even the sex isn’t well written. There are leaps in logic and relationship developments that are hard to follow. In the end there is a lot of telling, but no showing. Thanks for telling me she had an orgasm or telling me she realized she loved him, but there was so little illustrative language that I wasn’t invested in the characters or plot at all. There are better books with just as much smut at lower prices.

Amazing story

I felt like the ending was rushed but only because I wanted more from it. That doesn’t take away how great the book was though, I loved the steaminess and the chemistry between Jafar and Jasmine. Very great erotica from katee!!!

It’s all good I finished it in one reading. This book reveals the inside of a gangsters home, and the women within it. I love the ending!

This was crap.

This is a very good book to read, it has suspense, lots of sex and a ending I didn’t so coming but it is good. I would like to see these character in another one of your stories.

I did not know what to expect when I first started reading this book and woah! Katee Robert did not disappoint. This story was exceptional!! It pulls you in from the start and keeps you hooked until the very end. I love reading modern fairytale retellings, but this dark new twist of the villain as the hot, sexy alpha antihero was mind-blowing!! I loved every page of it and could not put it down. Jafar, the power hungry as always, dominant, sexy antihero, claims Jasmine and her territory during a hostile takeover. Jasmine, the submissive, bratty and underestimated heroine, fights her attraction to Jafar and is tired of being a pretty pawn in man's world tries to find freedom. It was great seeing Jasmine find her inner strength and find her own footing. Jafar and Jasmine's white hot chemistry jumps off the page and makes the push and pull between the two characters more entertaining. I love the idea of Aladdin as the bad guy. Overall, I would recommend this story and cannot wait for the rest of the Wicked Villains series.
